Follow these simple guidelines to process American Express® Card Charges electronically or with paper forms.
1. Verify that the person presenting the Card is the Cardmember The American Express Card is not transferable, even among family members. The Card can only be used by the person whose name is embossed on the front.
2. Compare signatures Verify that the Cardmember's signature on the Record of Charge or Credit Record reasonably matches the signature on the back of the Card. Make sure that it is the same name as that embossed on the front of the Card.
3. Check the Card's validity dates Make sure the date of the Charge falls within the two dates embossed on the Card. If the Card is not valid, call Authorizations on 021-3435 8886 and ask to speak to an authorizer for handling instructions.
4. Swipe the Card or take an imprint If you process Charges electronically, swipe the Card through the slot in your terminal. If you have difficulty obtaining the Approval Code electronically, call Authorizations on 021-3435 8886 and proceed with processing the transaction on paper. If you process on paper, take an imprint from the Card. Verify that the account number and the expiry date embossed on the front of the Card matches the number printed on the receipt or displayed on your terminal.
5. Obtain and submit an Authorization Approval Code To help reduce fraud and credit losses, PT. Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk. ("Bank Danamon") has a 100% authorization policy. You must obtain and submit an Authorization Approval Code when a Charge or series of Charges on any Card during any one day exceeds the floor limit, as well as for every mail order, telephone order or internet transaction regardless of amount. Failure to obtain the Approval Code could result in a chargeback. You must not attempt to circumvent Authorization procedure by submitting two or more Charges for a single transaction, or by splitting Charges into smaller amounts.
6. Return the Card and the Cardmember's copy of the Record of Charge, terminal receipt, or Credit Record to the Cardmember
